The 5.11 Tactical booth (#13162) at SHOT Show 2016 will host a wide range of special guests.
DAY 1 Tuesday, Jan 19
Coming out of the gates strong, we’ll have 5.11 ambassador Kyle Lamb in the booth in the late morning hours. Kyle will be there with a limited supply of special edition VTAC t-shirts. He’ll also offer expert tips for using 5.11 products he field-tested including the Ignitor Pack and our new Operator Axe (coming soon).
Kyle is followed by Magnus Samuelsson, World’s Strongest Man. Magnus was the winner of the 1998 World’s Strongest Man competition in Morocco. Magnus also holds the record for reaching the most finals in the competition — an incredible 10 times over the span of 13 years. These days you’ll find Magnus training and hunting in 5.11 apparel, and taking acting gigs on the side. He’ll be in the booth from 1 – 2 pm to share stories and sign autographs.
Major Ed Pulido will be on hand to sign copies of his book, Warrior for Freedom, and will be available to answer questions about the great work he and the people at Folds of Honor do for veterans and their families.
DAY 2 Wednesday, Jan 20
Lee Child, author of the Jack Reacher series of books. Mr. Child will be on hand in the morning and again in the afternoon to autograph books and tell us all about the next book in the series. (No, he won’t, but you can guarantee we’ll be trying to get some hints from him!)
5.11 Ambassador Scott Sonnon will stop by at 3 to offer tips for using his preferred 5.11 products. Kyle Lamb, Magnus Samuelsson and Major Ed Pulido from Folds of Honor will all return on Wednesday too.
DAY 3 Thursday, Jan 21
Day three has become “competitive shooters day” in the 5.11 booth. We’re just going to name drop for a minute here: Janna Reeves, Sydney Rockwell, Corinne Mosher, Lanny & Tracy Barnes, Team Benelli, Kalani Laker and Team Geissele, Meg Snyder, the Miculek family and Diana Hufstedler will all be there to share their experiences in competition over the last year and to offer tips and tricks for competitive shooting, and of course to geek out on their favorite 5.11 gear with booth visitors. You’ll also get the chance to meet 5.11 Ambassador Steve Tarani who will be signing his book Prefense: The 90% Advantage. Chris White and Rob Leatham will join Steve to discuss the finer points of tactical training with visitors to the 5.11 booth.
Like you needed one more reason to get pumped about being in Las Vegas for SHOT Show, but we’ve got one for you. The 5.11 Tactical retail store at 4305 Dean Martin Drive is open and ready to assist you with your gear goals for the new year. It’s about 2 miles away from the convention center, so it’s a cheap cab ride. Or, there’s an In N Out on the way, so maybe your buddy with a car can be convinced to give you a lift.
If you’re attending SHOT Show, stop by the 5.11 Tactical booth (13162) to meet the 5.11 team and special guests. We’ll have some great swag including patches, books and t-shirts, depending on when you arrive and while supplies last. If you’re unable to attend the show, you’ll still have a chance to win some swag from us on social media. Be sure you’re following us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube and check back here on the blog for more exclusive coverage of SHOT Show 2016.
